Trauma Therapy

Trauma is extremely distressing or disturbing that can impact anyone. Sometimes these situations are so scary and painful that can overload the person’s ability to cope, which can lead to symptoms of PTSD such as nightmares, flashbacks, anger and unregulated emotions, and often physical symptoms. Developmental trauma happens in childhood and can leave long-lasting effects that impact daily life, relationships, and overall sense of safety. Working with the brain and nervous system, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, allows traumatic memory to be released from the nervous system, leaving room for positive growth and true healing.
